Tea firms go gaga for Gaga

A number of tea makers are said to be battling it out to have Lady Gaga's face on their products.

The weird and wonderful life of Lady Gaga seems to be about to take another twist after Glamour magazine reported that the Bad Romance singer has sparked a bidding war for endorsement rights.

However, while many singers sell their brand as a marketing tool to clothing companies, perfumeries and other fashionable ventures, the Alejandro songstress is reported to be weighing up offers to lend her name to a tea firm.

A number of renowned tea makers have been in touch with the wacky star, who once wore a cup and saucer hat, but it is believed that she may be close to signing on the dotted line with Twinings.

A source told the publication that the company wants to launch a new product featuring the popular American's face.

"Names like The Taste Of Gaga are being batted about," the insider said. "The idea is to have tasting sessions in which she would participate."

Meanwhile, the publication recently reported that X Factor judge Louis Walsh believes the show is missing Cheryl Tweedy's glamour after the star was told to take a break following her malaria diagnosis.
