Taylor Swift talks love and dresses with Harper’s Bazaar US

Taylor Swift tells Harper's Bazaar what she looks for in a relationship and why she has to do so much dress shopping.

Taylor Swift is America’s sweetheart, so it’s no surprise that she often gracing the covers of America’s biggest magazines. This month it’s the turn of Harper’s Bazaar, who feature Swift on their December/January cover.

Other than her singing, Swift is best-known for two other things – her tumultuous love life and her dress addiction. But the latter can’t be helped, she says.

“I’m in a predicament where I can’t wear a dress twice or else it’s pointed out in magazines,” the singer explains. “So unfortunately I have to shop for dresses all the time.” It’s a hard life being a pop star, but someone’s got to do it we suppose!

When it comes to love, however, Swift never seems to find the perfect fit, with a string of high profile relationships having fizzled out after just a few months. So what does the country singer look for in a relationship?

“It needs to be equal,” she says. “If I feel too much like I’m wearing the pants, I start to feel uncomfortable and then we break up.”

She adds: “Relationships are the ultimate collaboration but It’s wonderful to hand over the reins to your boyfriend when you control so much of these big, high-pressure decisions, you know? That is a huge defining factor in who you choose to be with.”
