Taylor Swift talks love with Marie Claire

Taylor Swift opens up to Marie Claire about falling in love.

If there’s ever a woman you don’t want to scorn, it’s Taylor Swift. The country singer is famous for penning songs about her failed relationships and ex-boyfriends, including her current single We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together – she’s left us guessing who that one’s about, though everyone has their own thoughts on it.

Those of you with a Marie Claire magazine subscription will have seen that the singer is interviewed in the November issue. The magazine caught up with her to ask her all about her love life…

For a young starlet, she has an impressive number of famous exes, including Joe Jonas, Taylor Lautner, John Mayer and Jake Gyllenhaal.

Speaking about falling in love again after a relationship ends, Taylor said: “Even after it explodes into a million pieces and burns down and you’re standing in a pile of the ash of what it once was thinking, ‘Why did I have to meet this person, why did this have to happen?’ But then, when you make eye contact with someone across the room and it clicks and, bam, you’re there. In love again.”

The singer is currently dating 18-year-old student Conor Kennedy - of THE Kennedy family. Does she tell new boyfriends that she’s going to write a song about their relationship when it ends? “Ha! Well… it’s not like it’s in fine print, but music is absolutely everything that I am and everything that I stand for. It’s not my fault if someone gets into a relationship with me and then cheats and I write a song about it.”
