She magazine has decided on the winner of the short story competition it launched in March.
The publication revealed that hundreds of entries were whittled down to just five finalists, before the six esteemed judges came to an almost unanimous decision to choose Julie Noble's Sands In Time as the overall winner.
Ms Noble's work is to be published in August's edition of the magazine along with details about her life and her inspiration.
The winner also received a goody bag worth more than £200 containing beauty products and great books.
Judges on the panel included crime writer James Patterson, fiction editor Rebecca Saunders and literary agent Sheila Crowley.
Other finalists whose entries can be found on She's website included Clare Greenwood's Memories Of Summer, Bittersweet Memories by Leonie Ross and Summer Memories by Andrea Robinson.
Meanwhile, She magazine recently conducted a survey which found that a large number of women over the age of 40 have added an extramarital affair to their busy lives.
