There’s one piece of news that has been all over the web today that has no doubt made every fashionista’s day. The long-discussed Sex and the City Prequel has finally been confirmed!
That’s right, we checked in with Marie Claire magazine earlier today and found out that it is officially in the works and has already been snapped up by US TV network CW, who also broadcast the likes of Gossip Girl, One Tree Hill and The Vampire Diaries.
The series is set to focus on a young Carrie Bradshaw, spanning from her youth in the 1980s to her move to the Big Apple and she’ll be learning about love, friendships, family and, of course, sex. Writer Amy Harris who worked on the original series will be penning the prequel series so it’s bound to have the same sharp wit and quirkiness that made us fall in love with SATC in the first place.
But even more exciting than a reincarnation of one of our favourite television shows is the amazing fashion that is bound to be on show! If it’s anything like the original or the likes of Gossip Girl then seeing what the characters are wearing will be just as exciting as any of the storylines.
No decisions on casting have been made as yet but rumours are floating that Blake Lively or Miley Cyrus could be in the running to play Miss Bradshaw. Though as soon as any developments are made, we’re sure our trusty Marie Claire magazine subscription will be our first port of call.
