Saoirse Ronan talks to Dazed about success after The Host

The Host actress Saoirse Ronan chats to Dazed & Confused about fame after the film's release and her fears her career will end...

She’s just about to star in the film adaptation of The Host, the second offering from Twilight author Stephenie Meyer, and we have a feeling actress Saoirse Ronan is about to become huge. After all, those Meyer fans are pretty hardcore and loyal.

Speaking to Dazed & Confused in their April issue, Ronan is clearly under no illusion that it will be a quiet little film that will allow her to return back to her normal life, but she thinks there are ways of managing the fame.

She tells the magazine: “I was at the premiere of the final Twilight film and I thought, ‘Jesus, this is mad!’ It’s overwhelming. But you can stay away from it to a certain extent, choosing where you live and whether to go to every event under the sun.”

She also confesses to being quite self-critical and worries that everything’s going to come to an end career-wise. “I always have this worry that I’m not going to be able to act any more, that I’m going to be really bad,” she says. With every film I’m thinking, ‘Well, that’s it, I’m not going to be able to do it again…’”
