Nicole Scherzinger is now back on our screens as a judge in the X Factor, which is sure to guarantee her plenty of column inches over the next few months, but her love life has been earning her some in the meantime.
Scherzinger recently split with boyfriend of five years Lewis Hamilton. Talking to Glamour in the October issue, she talks about his dedication to her after his win at the Hungarian Grand Prix, when he said it was for “The woman I love, the special one.”
When the magazine ask her thoughts on the public declation, she admits that it was all a little fresh for her.
“Well, I’m still taking it all of that in,” she says. “I’m still in the eye of the storm. I know I was genuinely happy for him and I continue to support him. I was his number one believer. I told him he could do anything he wanted and could be anything he wanted. But it’s… it’s… it’s all too personal and too much. I’m very sacred with my heart.”
Speaking about dealing with the break-up, she says: “The good thing is, it grows you some balls. You grow a pair!”
The interview took place just two days after the news that Simon Cowell is about to become a father, though she admits she hasn’t spoken to him recently.
“I would like to congratulate him on the good news,” she says. “I think he’s gonna be a good father. And he’ll probably have a NATION of nannies to help!”
