Most women have at least one hateful thought about their body a day

Glamour magazine subscription holders can read how the majority of women have at least one moment a day when they really hate their body.

If you've got a Glamour magazine subscription, you can read how most women have a "I hate my body" moment at least once a day.

A poll by Glamour magazine revealed a shocking 97 per cent of girls admit to having a hateful thought about their physique every single day.

Some women think they're too thin, while others believe they're too fat or ugly, the survey found.

The average girl has a staggering 13 negative body thoughts daily, the Glamour magazine poll revealed.

Some women, scarily, have 35, 50 or even 100 hateful thoughts every day.

"That is a lot, yet I'm not totally surprised," said Ann Kearney-Cooke, PhD, a Cincinnati psychologist.

"It's become such an accepted norm to put yourself down that if someone says she likes her body, she's the odd woman out."

MP Jo Swinson, the co-founder of the Campaign for Body Confidence, recently called for events like London Fashion Week to be more aware of the diversity they present on the catwalks.
