The one word used to epitomise the new season is "playful", according to Elle magazine.
It suggests the "ladylike ponytails and 90s grungy goth lips" which were hot last autumn will be making way for this more light-hearted mood.
The 70s will "undoubtedly" be inspiring fashionistas, says Elle magazine.
"At shows from New York to Paris you couldn’t move for disco glitter or bouncing Charlie-Girl curls and backstage notebooks were filled with inspirations from David Bowie to Brooke Shields and Jerry Hall," the magazine suggests.
There is also a "softer side to beauty" this season too, Elle magazine states.
"Wispy, romantic styles" will also be popular this spring, framing faces "peppered with highlights and not much else", Elle magazine suggests.
Recently, beauty expert Zara Rabinowicz said makeup will be "brighter" this season.
