Lea Michele: ‘Kate Hudson was amazing support following Cory’s death’

Lea Michele praises Kate Hudson's support in ELLE after boyfriend Cory Monteith passed away.

It’s been a tough time for Lea Michele following the death of her boyfriend Cory Monteith, and of course, being in the public eye, she’s had the press in her face trying to document her grieving.

Speaking to ELLE in their December issue, she admits that Glee guest star Kate Hudson was an amazing support to her at the time. “I called her and said, I don't know where I'm going to go because my house is swarmed [with reporters],” she says. “She was like, ‘Oh, you're going to stay at my house.’ Like it was nothing. She let my family stay there, and any of my friends. She made sure that in the refrigerator were my favourite juices. I'll never really be able to thank her, truly, for what she did for me.”

Understandably, Lea is still struggling to come to terms with Cory’s death, but she says she believes he’d want her to make something positive out of it. “I know that Cory would want nothing more than for me to take this situation and use it to help people,” she tells ELLE. “I don't know if I will. I don't know how.”
