Katherine Heigl speaks to Cosmopolitan about love and family

Katherine Heigl speaks to Cosmopolitan about being outspoken, love and life.

Having gone from a television actor to queen of the rom-com movie in just a few short years, Katherine Heigl is hot stuff. That’s exactly why we were intrigued when our Cosmopolitan magazine subscription came through the door and we saw that she was gracing the front cover.

After getting into hot water over some outspoken comments (she called her movie Knocked Up sexist, withdrew her Emmy nomination for Grey’s Anatomy claiming her storylines weren’t good enough and had a falling out with Grey’s co-star Isaiah Washington after he made a homophobic comment) Katherine Heigl has avoided giving interviews for a couple of years, so her interview with Cosmopolitan is a real scoop.

In the interview, Heigl talks about getting together with her musician husband Josh Kelly, adopting daughter Nancy Leigh and coping with loss at an early age.

In meeting her husband, Heigl explains that despite a frosty start, they were inseparable from very early on. When asked if it was love at first sight, Heigl says: “I don’t believe in love at first sight. I think love grows as you get to know the person. But I definitely believe in chemistry. You can be attracted to somebody and instantly feel something you’ve never felt before. I swear it’s a pheromones thing.”

The January issue of Cosmopolitan also contains great articles on the Hacker-azzi, fashion and beauty tips and, of course, Cosmopolitan’s Ultimate Women Awards 2011.
