Jessie J is a little bit terrifying, isn’t she? She’s got amazing talent but we feel pretty confident we wouldn’t want to get on the wrong side of her.
If anyone can bring out Jessie’s girly side, however, it’s Glamour magazine who named her the Woman of Tomorrow at their Women of the Year Awards last month.
Speaking to the magazine, Jessie makes it clear that right now her focus is on her career and she doesn’t need someone else. “I’m addicted to my job right now,” she says. “I want to be a good daughter, I want to be a good sister, I want to be a great aunt, I want to be a great friend. I know I’ve got the right friends because they understand when they haven’t seen me for three months and then when I do see them, it’s exactly as it was before. And if I did meet somebody, I would only ever make room for someone that love me how I deserved to be loved. Until then… I’ve got my shoes, I’ve got my album, my dog.”
She shaved her head for Comic Relief earlier this year and has worked the bald-look into her own style. “I think I will grow it back at some point, but I want to make the point that when I said I was going to shave my head for charity, I was going to shave my head for charity. There’s a big difference between shaving your head and then growing it back in five minutes.”
