Head to Thailand in January 2010

Those booking a late deal in January 2010 should head to Thailand, according to Harper's Bazaar magazine.

Category: Harper's Bazaar magazine subscription

Those with a Harper's Bazaar magazine subscription will be used to getting advice on fashion, beauty and travel, but the publication has this month suggested that readers head to Thailand early next year.

It explained the country has everything from the unspoiled white sandy beaches of the south-east, to lively street markets of Bangkok.

While January in the UK may mean having to dig out the hat, scarf and glove sets, the Thai capital experiences balmy temperatures of up to 28 degrees C.

Those who like it a little warmer and wish to show off their new beachwear could head to the "paradisiacal" south-east, where 31 degrees C is not uncommon.

If a winter escape is what you are after, Harper's Bazaar recommends Six Senses' Soneva Kiri, which opens this month on the island of Kood.

Reached by a one-hour flight from the resort's private airfield, guests will enjoy pool villas surrounded by lush rainforests and sandy beaches, as well as the Six Senses spa.

Those heading to Thailand could also combine their trip with a visit to neighbouring Cambodia or Malaysia.ADNFCR-2767-ID-19512520-ADNFCR
