Harper's Bazaar magazine has given readers a number of make-up tips to help them look great this summer.
The main thing to remember during the hotter months is that things should be kept to a minimum, the publication said.
This means that rather than whacking on a load of lippy, a lightweight translucent gloss is the way forward for summer.
Meanwhile, girls should aim for a foundation that doesn't melt in the humid air, with the magazine suggesting that Neutrogena's Mineral Sheers Foundation could be ideal.
As with the lips, the eyes should not be overloaded, with a little pastel shadow across the lids enough to enhance peepers without going overboard.
While many girls love having a sun-kissed glow, Harper's Bazaar is keen to help them avoid the damaging effects of UV radiation by encouraging them to use a bronzer to achieve the look.
These tips could be especially useful with the bank holiday weekend approaching and many Brits likely to head off for a short break.
