InStyle magazine has reported on how Iron Man 2 star Gwyneth Paltrow got herself into shape for the movie.

Iron Man 2 exploded onto the silver screen last month and star Gwyneth Paltrow has revealed the dietary and exercise secrets that gave her the figure to play Pepper Potts.

According to InStyle, the wife of Coldplay singer Chris Martin used her GOOP newsletter to describe how she whipped herself into shape.

However, the magazine revealed that the regime was not easy and may prove a tough one for most women to follow.

Waking up at 07:00, the star would have a cup of green tea, followed by a shake made with almond milk, blueberries and a couple of scoops of nourishing powder.

Following an hour-and-a-half of exercise, she would down a cup of kale juice, before enjoying a vegetable-based wrap for lunch.

An afternoon snack of kale juice or almonds would precede a main evening meal of turkey kale soup or chopped vegetable salad.

"This regime got me into the shape of my life and I continue to return to it when I have a specific event," the 37-year-old mother of two wrote.

Iron Man 2 also stars Robert Downey Jr, Mickey Rourke and Scarlett Johansson.
