Anyone who has a Cosmopolitan magazine subscription and is looking to give themselves a makeover this year should read the top hair trends of 2011.
Recently-crowned British Hairdresser of the Year, Angelo Seminara, told Cosmopolitan magazine: "In 2011 women's hair will be cut in more definite shapes with soft jagged lines but keeping the fullness of it in the same time.
"The conclusion of this will be elegant grunge for the girls."
If you're planning to go for a colour, rather than style, overhaul the key, according to Angelo, is to keep the hue as natural as possible.
"Accentuate your own base colour with various shade lightened or darkened to create some contrast."
He suggests Jessica Alba has been sporting a fantastic hairdo recently. The Sin City actress, who is starring in Little Fockers which is out at the cinema at the moment, chose to go from golden blonde to a brunette hue and created a sleek bob to show off her face.
