Ellie Goulding’s career has exploded over the past few years and she’s now a firm British favourite. The singer is the cover star of Marie Claire’s February issue and inside the magazine… she poses topless! Of course, it’s not a seedy lads’ mag type shoot though.
Goulding performed for Kate and Wills at the Royal Wedding back in 2011, but had to keep it top secret which proved difficult. “In the weeks before, everyone I know was talking about the wedding, and I was sat like [puts knuckles in her mouth], trying not to say anything,” Ellie tells Marie Claire. “I kept it to myself for so long – but no one would have believed me anyway.”
When asked if she spent time with the couple, she replies: “I talked to William and Kate quite a bit. They’re just a really awesome couple, lovely people, so I understand why people are fascinated by them. It was a really beautiful night – but then, I haven’t been to many weddings.”
As for herself, it seems that men consider her more “wife material” than wanting to have fun with her. "People seem to think I'm more wife material than girlfriend material. That's probably why I'm single!” she says. "People want to marry me - and nothing before it."
