ELLE Edited by the Interns winners picked

The winners of ELLE: Edited by the Interns have been selected by the magazine's editors!

A little while ago we told you that ELLE were offering the chance for several interns to take charge of an issue of ELLE magazine. 1000s of applications for the coveted positions later and the magazine staff have now selected their Intern Team.

The winners were selected by a panel of ELLE editors, including Editor-In-Chief Lorraine Candy, Fashion Director Anne-Marie Curtis, Beauty Director Sophie Beresiner, Art Director Miette Johnson, and Editor-At-Large Annabel Brog and hail from all over the country.

The interns met up for the first time on Wednesday 26th June for a special orientation day at the ELLE offices, which saw them have lectures from Sunday Times columnist Katie Glass and New Statesman deputy editor Helen Lewis, attend a session entitled ‘Nokia’s inspirations and challenges”, a presentation on the vision behind ELLE, advice on how to break into journalism, tutorials on their new Nokia handset, and first interview and CV writing tips from a recruitment expert. They also attended a photo shoot at the Worx Studio.

This is the second time the magazine have held Edited by the Interns and last year’s winners have done well, going into their chosen professions and even continuing to freelance for ELLE.
