Condé Nast College of Fashion & Design opens

Condé Nast College of Fashion & Design opens its doors to students taking the Vogue Fashion Certificate.

Ever wanted to go to a college that will have you designing clothes worthy of a feature in Vogue? Well, now you can sign up for a course at the Condé Nast College of Fashion & Design and do just that!

The college has opened its doors to its first intake of students who will be taking part in the ten-week Vogue Fashion Certificate. The students come from 23 countries around the world and have beaten off stiff competition to get their coveted place on the course.

The college is staffed by industry insiders, including Principal Susie Forbes who is a former deputy editor of Vogue. As well as being teaching courses, the college will also offer practical sessions and seminars, visits to studios and talks from big names in the fashion magazine world.

Susie Forbes says: “Our courses offer unrivalled access – a front row seat into this famously opaque and hard-to-get-into industry. This access, combined with rigorous academic programming, will deliver insight into all aspects of the fashion industry, including the complex workings of the international fashion calendar, styling and art direction, brand marketing and the all-important retail sector, from luxury to high street. Our alumni will leave the college with not only a vastly improved understanding of how the fashion industry works, but also a significantly more informed idea about which part of the business they wish to work in, and a greatly improved chance of attaining that goal.”

The first year-long Vogue Fashion Foundation Diploma will begin in October, with an intake of 45 students, three of which will be scholarships.
