Claudia Schiffer on her bond with Crawford, Herzigova and Evangelista

Claudia Schiffer tells Marie Claire that she'll always feel a connection to fellow her 90s supermodels.

Claudia Schiffer rose to fame in the 90s as one of the original supermodels. Long before the days of Cara Delevingne and Georgia May Jagger, the likes of Schiffer, Cindy Crawford, Eva Herzigova and Linda Evangelista took the fashion world by storm. They were the models everyone wanted to wear their clothes or front their campaigns.

Speaking to Marie Claire in the March issue, Schiffer says that despite not meeting up all the time, it has meant she and her former peers share a bond. “We see each other very occasionally. We're still in contact via email. I might be in LA and email Cindy or see Eva in London,” she tells the magazine. “It's very sporadic, but whenever I see them I can still talk to them, we can pick up where we left off. That's the kind of bond I don't think will ever break. Even though there was a lot of competition, there was also camaraderie and we knew that we were part of a club that was very special.”

Even at the age of 43, Schiffer is still the envy of women around the world for her looks – and the fact that she doesn’t seem to have aged. Schiffer hasn’t been under the knife as yet and although she wouldn’t ever rule it out completely, she feels quite comfortable with aging right now.

“It's completely natural – you grow older, you have more wrinkles, you change your creams to wrinkle creams and try to be healthy,” she says. “It's just a natural process. If I got worried about it I'd think there was something seriously wrong with me!”
