We've got another Flashback Friday story for you from InStyle's March 2013 issue...
Agyness Deyn was at one time one of the most photographed models in the world, but over the past few years she seems to have disappeared. However, she popped up again a few months ago when she married actor Giovanni Ribisi – no one even knew the pair were dating!
Speaking to InStyle, she gives her reasons for giving up modelling – she wants to focus all her attention on acting.
When asked by InStyle if she just woke up one day and decided to act, she replies: “Yeah.”
Before adding: 'Yeah, I just kind of felt I’d got to point where I was craving something a little bit different. I called up my agent and said, ‘I want to be an actress. He was like, cool’.”
She also talks for the first time about her whirlwind marriage to Ribisi. “I don’t know. I suppose you meet someone and you’re just like… you know. Obviously, if someone’s marrying someone, they’re bringing a lot of really good stuff... So...”
She says that despite both being in the acting business, they don’t go over lines together. “No!” she laughs. “That’s so funny. We don’t. He’s incredible. He’s my hero. No, but obviously, if I was like, a teacher, I’d come home and be like, ‘This kid at school… blah, blah, blah’. So, obviously, we talk about our jobs. I can’t really answer that. We’re both like, really private people.”
