A Level results are out!

A lEvel results have been released with less students scoring the top grades for the first time in 20 years!

Today's the day that most 17/18 year-old students have been waiting for - A Level results day! It's a big day, for many the results will dictate whether or not they get into their chosen university and they're also the results they'll have on their CVs for the rest of their life (unless they get a little creative with the truth down the line... which we obviously don't condone!).

Now that it's over and done we think you A Level-ers should treat yourself to a Company magazine subscription and spend the rest of your summer chilling out!

According to reports, A Level top grades have fallen this year by 0.4% compared to last year. It's the first time in more than 20 years that the A or A* grades have actually fallen. However, the overall pass rate has risen for the 30th consecutive year.

Less students have applied for university places this year due to the rise in tuition fees, though after today many students will apply through clearing. Despite the lower number of applications, the universities minister David Willetts is still confident that universities will expand.

"There is a long-term trend for more and more people to aspire to go to university and for more and more employers to look to employ people with higher education qualifications and I personally don't think, taking the long view, that trend has suddenly stopped," he said.

Whether you're off to university or going into the world of work, breathe a sigh of relief that today is over and subscribe and save on a Company magazine subscription today.
