Will The Rolling Stones play at Glasto next year?

Any music lovers who have an Uncut magazine subscription might be pleased to read Ronnie Wood would like The Rolling Stones to play at Glastonbury in 2011.

The guitarist reportedly told the Metro it was "high time" the group reformed again, having had a three-year break.

"I'd love to do it [Glastonbury]," he said. "I'm always up for the festivals. As far as the Stones are concerned we haven't had a get-together for three years but it's high time," reports Uncut magazine.

It won't be the first time the Stones have been rumoured to play at the massive festival, with reports circulating regularly claiming they will be appearing.

The Rolling Stones were founded in 1962 and are arguably one of the biggest rock and roll bands in the world.

From 2005 to 2007, the group embarked on a record-breaking tour. More than 4.5 million tickets were sold globally for 147 concerts, in 118 different cities, 32 different countries, over a 735-day period.
