When should you have a baby? Asks OK! magazine

OK! magazine subscription holders can find out when the right time is to have a baby.

If you've got an OK! magazine subscription, you'll be able to look at when the right time is to have a baby.

According to OK! magazine, a women's fertility is at its peak in her early 20s as this is when "she still has most of the eggs she was born with".

During this time, complications which sometimes affect fertility - such as obesity and high blood pressure - are less likely to be an issue, advises OK! magazine.

Mums-to-be in their 20s are also less likely to develop conditions such as diabetes and pre-eclampsia, which occurs when there is a problem with the placenta during gestation.

However, OK! magazine points out that healthy women can still have a good and safe pregnancy when they are in their 40s.

The main difference is that they have a higher risk of complications, but it should be fine if the woman "begins her pregnancy in good health".

Bearing this in mind, there is probably not really a "right time" to have a baby, however, OK! magazine has revealed that 29.4 is the average age of a new mum in the UK now.
