Spooks vs. Downton Abbey... who will win?

BBC and ITV pit Spooks and DOwntown Abbey against one another on Sunday nights.

Whilst ITV and the BBC managed to resolve the Saturday night viewers dilemma when X Factor and Strictly Come Dancing were on at the same time, it seems that neither company have totally given up on the ratings war, however.

Both Downton Abbey and Spooks are set to begin at 9pm on Sunday 18th September, those of you with Radio Times magazine subscriptions will be interested to know. Though, it may prove a problem for fans of both shows.

Spooks has previously always been shown on a weeknight, but as we’ve mentioned before, it’s the final series and the BBC have decided to give it the popular Sunday evening drama slot to give the show a big send-off.

Whilst Spooks plays out, Downton Abbey will be bouncing back to our screens with a whole new story after World War I broke out at the end of the last series.

We’re avid viewers of both shows, so all we can say is thank goodness for Sky+! We’d hate to miss either show, especially after reading every week in our Radio Times magazine subscription the latest goings on in each episode.
