Simon Cowell: Cheryl is one of most beautiful women I’ve seen!

Simon Cowell speaks to Radio Times about Cheryl Cole and those gay rumours.

The Simon Cowell/Cheryl Cole relationship is a very complex one. After a few years of great chemistry on-screen on the X Factor, Cowell snapped her up to judge in the US version, only to fire her after a couple of weeks.

Cole was understandably devastated and their friendship suffered and now they seem to be frenemies. Speaking to the Radio Times, Cowell admits that most of the production staff on the talent show had a crush on the Geordie pop star. It wasn’t just them, though…

'I mean literally, when she walked on set on the first day in the UK I thought that she was one of the most beautiful women I had ever seen in my life,” he says.

However, he didn’t have a fling with her like he did fellow judge Dannii Minogue.

Commenting on the rumours that he is gay, Cowell says: “I work in possibly the gayest industry in the world. Music and TV. It would make no difference to my life or my career. A lot of my friends are gay but I'm not and don't even think that way any more. I couldn't care less (if people think I'm gay) because it's nothing to be ashamed of.”
