Radio Times readers give their opinions on The Apprentice

Radio Times readers let rip on the opening episode of The Apprentice and the latest contestants.

Ah, it seems like just yesterday that we last saw a bunch of hopefuls walk into Alan Sugar’s office, only for them to be told one by one that they were fired until only one was left standing, but now The Apprentice is back – as we’re sure those of you with a Radio Times subscription will already be well aware.

The first episode aired last night and Radio Times welcomed reviews from their readers, and they weren’t afraid to say exactly what they thought.

19-year-old Kristie Smith wrote: “Less than a minute in and we are all well aware that the show runners have not lost their touch for sourcing lunatics and capturing TV gold.”

Roger Trentwith also gave the hopefuls a bashing, saying: “After the usual bristling of egos and bereft leadership from both sides it’s time for The Boardroom, a place as fake as Uzma’s tan. The girls have called themselves ‘Salon’, the guys ‘Spanner’...if only. No, it was the more prosaic feminine ‘Evolve’ and masculine ‘Endeavour’.”

Hmm, well at least it makes for entertaining TV, hey? We’re looking forward to seeing who makes it to the final...
