OK! and NME magazine release special issues after Amy Winehouse’s death

After Amy Winehouse's death last weekend, both OK! and NME have released special tribute issues.

Britain is still reeling from the loss of one of our most talented singers, Amy Winehouse. The singer passed away on Saturday afternoon and news of her death quickly surfaced on Twitter and various other online outlets shortly after.

Amy’s friends and fans soon spoke out about their love for the singer and expressed sadness at her untimely death. Lily Allen tweeted: "Its just beyond sad, there's nothing else to say. She was such a lost soul, may she rest in peace" and Kelly Osbourne wrote: "I cant even breath right my now im crying so hard i just lost 1 of my best friends. i love you forever Amy & will never forget the real you!".

Amy’s funeral was held in North London today and was attended by family and close friends. The results of her post-mortem were released yesterday as inconclusive as the results of the toxicology tests can take up to 4 weeks, though her death has not been considered suspicious.

Those of you with an NME magazine subscription will have seen that their latest issue is a special tribute to Winehouse. The magazine contains before unseen photos of the singer as well as tributes from The Clash’s Mick Jones and comedian Russell Brand.

If you have an OK! magazine subscription you will also receive the Amy Winehouse tribute issue, which has an additional front cover for the singer and its first 30 pages are dedicated to the star.

Both issues are currently on newsstands now, but if you want to make sure that you don’t miss out on any upcoming special issues, check out our range of magazine subscriptions.
