Whilst we can’t look into the future, we CAN look at the past and laugh at all the ridiculous comments made by people who contradict them years later. Inside the May issue of our Empire magazine subscription, which came through our door this morning, they’ve collated some of the best comments from interviews over their 25 year history – and boy do they make a great read.
Our favourite has to be Lindsay Lohan’s quote from 2005, saying: “I’m not some crazy Tara Reid-esque party animal. I wanna be in this for the long run.” Ha!
Another good one is Sigourney Weaver in 1992, saying: “I am sure there will eventually be an Alien 4. It just won’t have me in it.” You’ll remember 1997 film Alien: Resurrection, right? OK.
Of course there are plenty of other brilliant features in the issue, including a look at some of the most exciting upcoming films such as Dawn of the Planet of the Apes, Locke and The Guest. There’s also a catch up with the team behind Game of Thrones discussing the fourth series, an interview with the cast of The Other Woman (Leslie Mann, Cameron Diaz and Kate Upton) as well as a look back at Tom Cruise’s successful career.
