If you’re a fan of David Beckham then we hope you have a Radio Times magazine subscription! In the Sport Relief special edition, Becks talks about his acting stint in Only Fools & Horses.

“The day of filming started off with a slightly sleepless night, going over my script,” Beckham tells Radio Times magazine. “The thought of being on set with Nicholas and David was obviously very nerve-racking. I woke up that morning with my script on my chest. I've never done anything like this before, especially with two people I'm really in awe of and have been for many years. It wasn't just about learning the script, it was about delivering it; saying the right things at the right time.”

The footballer confesses that he has always loved Only Fools & Horses. “I'm a huge fan of the show. I have been for many years, as far back as I can remember,” he says. “Being from the East End of London, it's what I was brought up on.”

Jim Sullivan, son of the show’s creator John said that the scene for Sport Relief will be a one-off and there won’t be a series following it. He says: “We very much appreciate the passionate and loyal fan base that the show has, and in a perfect world there would be more episodes, but there was only ever one writer of Only Fools and Horses, and without him, there can be no more.”

He also acknowledged Roger Lloyd-Pack’s absence. The actor played Trigger throughout the series and Sullivan says that he was keen to be involved in the sketch, until it became apparent he wouldn’t be well enough.
