Best album of last 25 years revealed

If you've got a Q magazine subscription, you can find out what's been named the best album of the last 25 years.

Music fans with a Q magazine subscription can find out what's been named the best album of the past quarter of a century.

Radiohead's OK Computer scored the accolade, beating off competition from 249 albums which were released between 1986 and 2011 in the poll by Q magazine.

U2, Nirvana, Oasis and Muse's albums were all among the offerings which failed to meet the same level as the Radiohead hit.

A spokesperson for Q magazine said: "As this poll testifies, our readers see it as the benchmark against which all other albums are and continue to judged against in Q's lifetime."

The top albums featured Nirvana's Nevermind in second place, What's The Story Morning Glory? by Oasis in third, another album from the Manchester band - Definitely Maybe - in fourth spot and the Arctic Monkeys' Whatever People Say I Am rounded off the top five.

OK Computer was released in 1997 and is the most critically-acclaimed offering from Radiohead.
