There are a few award ceremonies that bring the biggest names in tinseltown together and the Golden Globes is one of them. The awards were held last night in LA and it was a big night for Ben Affleck, as we’re sure you movie buffs with an Empire magazine subscription will know.
The actor was snubbed in the list of this year’s Oscar nominees last week, with many people shocked that his film Argo, set in the 1979 Iranian hostage crisis, wasn’t included. However, Affleck won the award for Best Director and Argo won Best Drama.
Les Miserables didn’t do too badly, having won the Best Musical or Comedy award, whilst Hugh Jackman won Best Actor for the same category and Anne Hathaway won Best Supporting Actress.
