Bands line up for iTunes Festival 2011

If you're a music fan with an NME magazine subscription, you'll be able to read how a number of bands are lined up to play free gigs in London this year.

Linkin Park fans who have an NME magazine subscription might be excited to read that they are one of three bands who have been lined up to play at this year's iTunes Festival.

The free gigs, which will take place in July, will also see Duran Duran and Rumer performing.

All three will be playing at the Roundhouse in Camden, in the capital, with Linkin Park taking to the stage on July 4th, and the others on the 16th and 18th respectively, reports NME magazine.

More free gigs are set to be announced in the coming weeks and months, with dates due to be played every night in July at the London venue.

The iTunes Festival took place for the first time in 2007 and it has proved highly successful since then, attracting some big names, including Amy Winehouse and Paul McCartney in the past.

Last year, bands including the Scissor Sisters and Biffo Clyro took part in the event.
