Check out The Times and The Sunday Times films

Some of the UK's best film directors have delved into The Times' archives to create a series of films.

If you have a newspaper subscription for The Times & The Sunday Times and have ever wondered about its history, then you’re in luck because some of the UKs best film directors have been given unlimited access to The Times’ 229 year archive in order to make a series of films about the nation’s favourite newspaper.

The Uniquet Film Series will – for the first time ever - explore the values, beliefs and behaviours of past and present editors, journalists and readers. The first four films - Power of Words, Question Everything, Photojournalism and Times New Roman - can already be found online for free here. More will follow over the next few months.

Nick Stringer, from News UK, says: “Great journalism can take up a cause, drive change and influence an effect. The Times and The Sunday Times have always strived to be an agent of change and their restless journalism has led to the telling of some of the most important stories in history. This series of films, crafted by some of the very best filmmakers and producers, are a demonstration of the values that have always underpinned our titles and shape what they are today. We hope they serve to surprise, entertain and leave people wanting more.”
