Wired’s Inspiration issue – Achieving the Impossible

Wired takes a look at how defy the impossible, with advice from 23 people who know exactly how to do it.

If you have a Wired magazine subscription then you should have just received the September issue, which features Sir Ranulph Fiennes on the cover.

The 69-year-old explorer has beaten the odds to visit obscure places cross the globe, not letting frostbite, vertigo or whiteout get the better of him.

In this month’s issue, Fiennes and 22 other brave souls tell readers how they can defy what is considered impossible and end up the better for it.

Advice comes from the likes of Arctic explorer Mark Pollock who walked again after paralysis, Engineer Gareth Collins who deflected an asteroid and space physician Kevin Fong who has had to perform CPR in space.
