WIRED have announced that they will hold a Next Generation event for schoolchildren aged 12-18 years old in October.

Those of you with a WIRED magazine subscription will already be well acquainted with the WIRED conference that is held annually, and now the publishers of the magazine have just announced that this year they will also be holding WIRED 2013: Next Generation.

Next Generation will be a one day event in October for schoolchildren aged 12-18 years old. The aim is to inspire and motivate youngsters who will be the creators of the future.

David Rowan, Editor of WIRED, remarks “Our future relies on the next generation being equipped, educated and hungry to innovate, to create and to challenge. The most important investment any industry and any country can make is in its future innovators, and this new enterprise highlights our commitment to this, and our desire to generate a public debate around accessible education for all in those areas which matter the most.”
