If you've got an Amateur Photographer magazine subscription, you can find out who won the Terry O'Neill Award for contemporary photography.

Budding snappers who have an Amateur Photographer magazine subscription, can find out the winner of the Terry O'Neill Award for contemporary photography.

This year, a Spaniard, Sebastian Liste, picked up the accolade for his project showing the "extreme living conditions" faced by residents in Salvador de Bahia in Brazil.

The winner was named at the Hotshoe Gallery in central London, where a private view of all the entries was held, reports Amateur Photographer magazine.

Seven photography experts were on the judging panel, including Terry O'Neill himself, the legendary snapper who hails from London's East End.

A selection of the work from the top ten photographers who entered the award will be published in the Sunday Times magazine.

As well as this, all the works will be showcased at the Hotshoe Gallery until December 15th.

From Monday to Friday, the gallery is open from 10:00 to 17:00 and on Saturdays, it opens at midday and closes at the same time.
