There are plenty of different applications on offer for the cloud, according to .net magazine, meaning there is bound to be one which suits the needs of your business.

It isn't just created for use on Google Docs and DropBox, the mag advises.

The cloud allows everyone to have a platform to "improve collaboration and keep track of all your files", .net magazine reports.

"If you've ever cursed email overload, wished there was a better way to track revisions or just wished your communications tools were as useful as your creative ones, there’s a cloud computing service to suit you."

A recent report by the Centre for Economics and Business Research revealed the top member states in the European Union could stand to benefit financially from the widespread implementation of cloud computing.

Economies could be boosted by £645 billion, the report found.
