If you have a Computer Arts magazine subscription then you’ll be lucky enough to receive their 200th issue this month.
The special edition has a cover that has been especially designed for the occasion by in-house designer Becca Allen, with a custom typeface called Deux Cents. The magazine have also worked closely with a company called Celloglas to make the cover truly unique – it has a combination of gold and black foil with texture and emboss, as well as a spot UV varnish – if you’re into design, we hope you know what that means! A special YouTube video’s even been uploaded to show the cover being created.
Designer Becca Allen has said: “The production video has been really popular online, it provides our readers with a unique chance to see behind the scenes and find out how the cover was made”.
The cover’s not the only exciting thing about the special issue though – there’s also a 28 page feature on their 200 best design moments and the magazine’s usual expert advice and profiles on the world’s best designers and illustrators.
