.net magazine award winners revealed

Anyone with a .net magazine subscription can find out who won the coveted accolades at the publication's annual awards.

The Ministry of Sound played host to this year's ceremony, which was designed to celebrate the achievements of web designers and developers.

Following a public vote, .net magazine shortlisted each category and the winners were named on the night.

Among the top prizes were a few surprises. Social networking site Ravelry beat off competition from both Facebook and Twitter to be named Community Site of the Year by .net magazine readers.

Chrome FastBall won the Interactive Site of the Year title, while blog of the year went to Smashing Magazine.

Old Spice, which has been netting fans around the world with its latest marketing drive, won the Viral Campaign of the Year award and BBC News was voted the best Redesign of the Year.
