Woman magazine appoints new editor

Former Woman's Own magazine editor Karen Livermore has moved to Woman magazine.

Category: Woman magazine subscription

Woman magazine subscription holders may be interested to know that the publication has appointed a new editor.

According to the Guardian, Karen Livermore will leave her post as Woman's Own editor to take up the role.

With both magazines under the IPC umbrella, Ms Livermore may find it easy enough to settle in at her new workplace.

Having worked with Woman's Own since 2007, she takes over the role from Jackie Hatton, who headed for pastures new last month.

Ms Hatton is the new editor of Best, which is published by the National Magazine Company.

The experience Ms Livermore gained in her previous role should stand her in good stead for working at Woman magazine, having overseen a £2 million revamp of the brand, as well as a campaign against knife crime.

According to IPC, "Woman is a must-have weekly fix of hot celebrity news, juicy TV insider gossip, compelling real life stories and confident fashion and beauty".
