Hayden Panettiere is "no stranger" to new styles, according to OK! magazine, but the publication has questioned whether she has gone too far this time.
The gorgeous 20-year-old often has her tresses long and blonde, but has been slowly trimming them down in recent months.
However, she stepped out at a recent Los Angeles party with her shortest hairstyle yet - one OK! described as "mumsy".
The magazine questioned why so many stars seem to be opting for the cropped look after the Heroes actress was seen sporting her new hairdo at The Green Carpet and Home Tree Earth Day Celebration.
"The 20-year-old complemented her chic - or should we say, mumsy - new look with a gorgeous black sequin and mesh LBD," OK! noted.
As well as popular TV show Heroes, the star has also appeared in a number of movies, including Bring It On: All Or Nothing and The Architect.
