The Last Shadow Puppets 'set to return'

Music fans with an NME magazine subscription will be able to find out that The Last Shadow Puppets may well be making a comeback pretty soon.

If you loved The Last Shadow Puppets and you've got an NME magazine subscription, you may be pleased to find out the band are set to return to the UK music scene.

Miles Kane, who plays the electric guitar in the band, said the band will be resurrected after he's released his debut solo album next spring.

"Yeah, yeah, yeah, definitely," he said, commenting on the prospect of them getting back together. "After I've done this stuff, I guess. I've got a few things up my sleeve."

The guitarist is hoping his debut effort with rank alongside the first offering in 2008 from The Last Shadow Puppets.

"I've made a record that does stand up to that," he told NME magazine. "It's musically and lyrically as good, and that's all I can do."

Kane fronts The Last Shadow Puppets with former Arctic Monkeys band member Alex Turner. They released their first album, entitled The Age of the Understatement, in 2008.
