The new issue of SFX is set to feature what the magazine describes as one of its best covers in almost 15 years.
With 3-D trickery being applied to numerous blockbuster films in recent months and plans afoot to use the technology in sport on TV, it was only a matter of time before paper publications started to incorporate it into their work.
The magazine has managed to get a world exclusive photo shoot with new Dr Who stars Matt Smith and Karen Gillan.
Smith, who is the 11th actor to play the famous doctor, is pictured in 3-D for the cover of the publication, which also contains a not-to-be-missed ten-page behind the scenes look at the new series.
With a fresh line-up, including Gillan as the good doctor's new companion and Steven Moffat as head writer, the show is likely to be as popular as ever.
To welcome its regeneration, SFX has included a host of photos and snippets of information from the team behind the show.
Smith takes on the Dr Who mantel from David Tennant, who is rumoured to be playing Bilbo Baggins in the on-screen version of The Hobbit.
