The pair spoke exclusively to the mag about their baby joy and how difficult it was to for them to conceive naturally, leading to them to opt to undergo IVF treatment.
Music legend Rod, 66, and his ex-Ultimo model wife 39-year-old Penny are said to be over the moon that they're expecting a sibling for their four-year-old son Alastair.
Penny had to undergo various rounds of IVF treatment before she fell pregnant and she tells Hello! magazine that Alastair's delighted because doctors have said they are 99 per cent certain the baby is a boy.
"It's exactly what he wanted and his happiness made all the IVF treatments worthwhile," she told the mag.
Rod, who was lead singer of the 70s rock group The Faces, has seven children in total, four of whom he had with ex-wives Rachel Hunter and Alana Stewart.
