Open House in London

Time Out magazine looks at the attractions on offer at this year's Open House event taking place all over London in September.

Those with a Time Out magazine subscription can get an insider's look into some of the locations you can see in this year's London Open House event.

The annual opening is taking place from September 18th to 19th, with a wide range of different buildings in the capital open to see free of charge.

As well as government buildings, private homes, historic houses and even schools are open for visitors to the Big Smoke to visit, reports Time Out magazine.

At some of the venues there are children's activities on offer too, meaning all the family can find something to do.

Bookings for the events are open already and the hot tickets to venues that are never open to the public, such as the glass BT Tower, are likely to get snapped up quickly.

Admission to a number of open properties is on a turn-up-on-the-day basis, so you won't miss out as long as you arrive fairly early.

Recently, Time Out magazine offered advice on cycling locations in the capital, so you could see some of the properties and head around town in an eco-friendly manner.
