Title: OK magazine
OK magazine subscription holders may be interested to hear that Girls Aloud star Nadine Coyle may be denied a fair crack at eclipsing band mate Cheryl Cole in the charts.
While the Geordie singer and X-Factor judge has taken the industry by storm since launching her solo career, Coyle's hopes could be dashed by budget cuts.
According to OK, the singer's US backers have slashed their investment from £900,000 to just £200,000, meaning grand plans for a video and live production have had to be scaled down.
While the 24-year-old will still launch her debut album and hopes to emulate the success of Cole, a source told the magazine that the budget cut has made things much more difficult.
"To rival Cheryl she knows she needs something pretty amazing but her big ambitions have been ruined," the source said, adding that Coyle could have to invest some of her own money to get the record out.
Cole recently returned to the stage after announcing her split with husband Ashley last month.
