Musical tribute to Kylie Minogue

A Kylie-themed musical is set to be made in honour of the Aussie star.

Kylie Minogue has had a long and eventful career that shows no signs of coming to an end any time soon.

At 42, the pint-sized songstress may be considered one of the pop world's veterans, yet her ability to pull a crowd remains difficult to match.

According to More magazine, the Aussie queen of pop has now begun putting plans together for a musical based on her work, with creative director William Baker already on board.

Fans of Kylie may remember Baker as the man responsible for the singer's famous gold hot pants, which became an iconic part of Minogue folklore.

Although the storyline for the show is still in its infancy, it is set to feature a number of hits, including Spinning Around and I Should Be So Lucky.

"We've brought a scriptwriter in and are working on a few synopses now," More reported Kylie as saying.

"It's early days, but it's very exciting."

The publication suggested that up-and-coming stars such as Kesha, Diana Vickers and Pixie Lott could be perfect for the role of Kylie.

Before becoming a singer, Minogue appeared as Charlene Robinson on popular Australian soap Neighbours.
