Kelly Brook talks about her engagement with HELLO!

Kelly Brook and fiancé David McIntosh discuss getting engaged in this week's issue of HELLO! magazine.

Kelly Brook is almost as famous for her love life as she is for her modelling and acting. She has dated the likes of Jason Statham, Billy Zane, Thom Evans and Danny Cipriani over the years but it seems she is off the market once and for all now that she is engaged to David McIntosh.

It’s been a whirlwind romance for the couple who have only been dating since January and became engaged just 11 weeks later.

“I think it took both of us by surprise, to be honest, how quickly things have progressed,” Brook tells HELLO! in this week’s issue. “But I've never met a guy like David before and although it seems soon to be planning our wedding, there's nothing to wait for in my mind because at the moment everything's fantastic and there's no reason why it can't continue to be like that.”

McIntosh seconds that, adding: 'Within days I was thinking, ‘This is someone I could marry,’ which was crazy because I had never, ever wanted to get married before. I had the view that it was out-dated and unnecessary. But meeting Kelly changed that.”

The plans are well under way and she’s enlisted designer friend Suzie Turner to help her find the perfect dress. “I never thought I was going to be that girl who wants the huge dress with a 10-foot train, but now I want the biggest, most gorgeous dress ever,” she says. "So Suzie and I have a photo stream going, so any dresses that catch my eye, I just send them over to her. It's going to be really personal. I want everything to have a real personal touch."

Of course, everyone wants to know how he proposed... Kelly tells HELLO! it was when the pair were at his home in Manchester. "I saw this beautiful diamond ring and I think my first reaction was, 'Are you sure?’ He assured me he was, so I said 'Of course I will'. He slipped the ring on my finger and we kissed and it was just the most humbling, beautiful moment of my life. It was so genuine.”
