Heat magazine has suggested that fans of Katy Perry may have been momentarily disappointed in her choice of outfit for a recent event.
The US star, who is engaged to British comedian Russell Brand, rocked up to the Costume Institute Gala in what appeared to be a "tame pink frock" that was far removed from her usual weird and wonderful choices.
However, the publication revealed that she didn't wait long before exposing the true brilliance of the outfit.
With the flick of a switch, the previously-unnoticed LED lights that had been hand stitched into the dress lit up.
"Katy looked every bit the kitsch star we've come to know and love," the magazine said. "Let's just hope she steered clear of any liquids during the night."
In other news, former Blue member Lee Ryan has admitted that he and ex-band mate Duncan James indulged in some sexual shenanigans while on tour.
"It's not weird...you just high-five each other. I think they call it a spit roast," Heat quoted him as saying.
